growth cycle of a human

Arhan:
Intro
Humans, like all living things, go through a growth process throughout their lifespan.  This process begins as an embryo in a mother’s womb and ends when the person is elderly.

Baby
Firstly, a human is formed in the mother’s uterus.  Over nine months, the baby grows bigger and stronger until it is ready to come out into the world.  When it is born, it is still very little in comparison to older babies who have been living for a few months.  The newborn is very needy, delicate and helpless. It relies a lot on its parents for its everyday needs. Over the next year, the baby grows taller and heavier.  It can start to do things for itself such as: hold its head up, sit up, roll, crawl, make a range of noises and begins to eat pureed or mashed foods.

Toddler 1- 3
The next step of a human’s growth cycle is a toddler.  The toddler stage occurs between the ages of one and three.  Toddlers are a lot more active and vocal than babies. They begin to walk then run and they don’t sleep as much during the day when compared to babies.  They eat a larger variety of foods and may even eat the exact same foods as the rest of their family. All of their first set of teeth grow through the gums in these years.  Toddlers can become very determined, assertive and independent, which can lead to tantrums when they don’t get their way or they become frustrated. Parents need a lot of patience and must develop their negotiation and reasoning skills during these years.  Toddlers begin speaking in full sentences and can communicate reasonably well.

Child- 4- 12

When the toddler turns into a child it develops more skills like talking in sentences, walking properly and changing its clothes on its own. They will start going to school. When they start school they will learn basic subjects like mathematics,  reading, writing and science

Teenager- 13-19
After they finish school they will start to go to college. The teens can choose lots of paths they can pick for their careers like a doctor, a builder and lots more. When they’re sixteen they will start driving and working.  When they work they will earn money so they can pay their fees for college and university. Soon they will earn their degree or diploma which will lead to their future job.

Adult- 18-65

Now humans enter the stage of adulthood.  They will get a job ( if they are lucky), most of them will get married, have kids and earn a living. They will grow more mature and sensible.  Now they will understand what to do and have a good idea of how life works. They will manage their kids while also doing work. WHEn the have enough money they can afford a car so it will be easier to get to places. The new parents will tell bedtime stories and put the kids to sleep.

Elderly-65+
When people are elderly they start to weaken and their bones get delicate. Soon they will start hunching and using a walking stick.  They have a lot of life experience and they are wise and can, therefore, pass their wisdom onto their children and grandchildren. At a certain age, they will start dying and after they die they will get buried or burnt.

Conclusion:

The process of human development goes through many stages.  People start off as a tiny baby and eventually grow into a wise, old person.

The fantail acrostic poem

The superstition
He was annoyed because he thought it was going to poo on his bed
Everyone was worried because Piri was freaking out.
Finally, Piri explained that when a fantail enters the room its bad luck
Aunty threw some socks into the window so it wasn't a fantail.
Not believing this superstition was Jojo
There really wasn't any fantail in the house
A pair of socks made the shadow of the fantail
It was never a fantail
Long ago the fantail myth started with Maui

Prediction for "the force"

Prediction

Mum, Dad, Max and Harper went on a picnic close to a wooden bridge. Then Max heard a splash, someone had done a human cannonball. Harper scared Max and the other children on the other side and the pushy kid also got scared. Harper had to be excused to go toilet. Then he saw  Yoda washing his hands in the toilet, and a huge discussion occurred between Harper and Yoda. Then Yoda said, “You will have the force after I die so be prepared to be the next Jedi.” Harper jumped with glee and couldn't wait to tell the great news.
BY: AARAV, ARHAN AND SAVEER :)

8 +½ out of 10

We got almost everything correct like the human cannonball, Yoda talking to harper the only things we got incorrect were Yoda dying and harper being the Jedi Max and Harper except being the future Jedi and Yoda dying. The other wrong part was where harper scared the kids on the bridge.

My speech

Why maths is the most important subject

Angles, length, shapes, area, weight, total, survey, data. What do all these words have in common you may ask? Well… throughout the year you may hear these words being mentioned in maths. Hi, I'm Arhan and I believe maths is the most important subject in school and I'm here to tell you why so be prepared to be amazed by the wonders of math.

Firstly, maths helps you develop better problem-solving skills and helps you think analytically. You develop a generic ability to solve life problems. When you use problem-solving skills it helps people understand deeper concepts. Did you know teachers use problem-solving skills for more effective activities? For example 236 - x = 104  x equals what? If you know the answer you have good problem-solving skills. Thinking analytically is very important because you think critically it also helps you solve complex problems. When you think analytically you apply logical thinking.

Secondly, Math helps you complete tasks in everyday life, for example, it helps you tell the time, count money, shopping, DIY projects etc. Let's say that you went to the store to buy groceries and you don't know how much each fruit/vegetable weighs BUT with math you can tell because it shows you the numbers of the weight so that you know how much the fruit/veg weighs.

Think about it every job requires math, with math you can do a variety of jobs, like a math tutor- someone who teaches math, accountant- they are in charge of the payroll, tax returns  and a company's financial rules and regulations, cryptographer they break codes to keep data safe from hackers and a statistician they analyze and gather data. Did you know Issac Newton ( founder of gravity ) used powerful methods of mathematics for discoveries isn't that cool! Math also helped people go to the moon, design haircuts and make sense in medical scans.

To top it off I hope I have convinced you that math helps people develop problem-solving skills and think analytically, help people in everyday tasks and will help you get a job so remember “without math, there's nothing you can do.”

Teacher Comment
Well done Arhan!  You used good volume and pace when delivering your speech.  Next step: Add more ideas, examples, statistics and research to meet the time allocation - your speech was a bit too short.
