The wheel

The wheel, known as the greatest invention of mankind.  The wheel helps you to get to your location, it is faster than other ways of moving people and objects and you don't need to do lots of work.   Imagine if Mesopotamia, the founder of the wheel, never invented the wheel! Cars wouldn't exist, motors, revolving doors, merry go rounds, etc.

Firstly, wheels help you to get to your location. Many vehicles today contain wheels. Vehicles such as buses, cars, bikes, trains, skateboards, roller skates, and motor vehicles are used all the time and have become a necessary part of our lives. Bikes all help people move from place to place. These are some locations people go to work, school, the shops, sports games, their home, and different cities to visit and explore.

Secondly, wheels help people to get places and move objects faster. Wheels with spokes were first made around 2000BC.  They were lighter, enabling most vehicles to move faster. The mechanical work of a car allows you to change the speed of the engine which goes to the wheel. Without that, in the olden days, they had to go at different speeds depending on how much energy they had. Before the wheel, sleds, horses, donkeys, camels, and sacks had to be used to pull things and that was a lot slower. With horses and donkeys, you had to take care of them by feeding them and giving them water, and if they got tired they went even slower!

Lastly, the wheel made transporting people and resources easier.   If you run your body uses lots of energy but when you drive a car your body doesn’t get physically exhausted.  If you tried to carry 5 bricks they would be heavy but if you put them in a wheelbarrow it would take less work.  For thousands of years, people have used sleds to drag heavy loads - this would have been a lot more time consuming and harder. The wheel was invented because the work was getting harder, they needed something to make life easier and make moving heavy loads, planting crops and making pottery easier.

I hope I have convinced you that the wheel is the greatest invention of all time, It helps you get to your location, it takes less work to move people and resources and it’s a faster way of transportation.  So be grateful that the wheel was invented otherwise you would be pulling sleds!

my bike

This is a normal bike however I changed the wheels. I made the wheels thicker so it would be more sturdy and safe also I changed the pedals so that when you pedal it powers energy to make it go faster out of exhaust pipe
